A Multiple Entry Business Visa (MEBV) is a convenient option for foreign nationals who need to make frequent business trips to Indonesia.
This visa allows the holder to enter Indonesia multiple times for business purposes such as attending meetings, conferences, training sessions, seminars, and other business-related activities.
However, it is important to note that the MEBV does not permit the holder to work or earn income in Indonesia. For employment purposes, a Work Permit and Residence Visa (KITAS, IMTA, MERP) is required.
Key Features of the Multiple Entry Business Visa
- Validity: The MEBV is valid for one year from the date of issuance.
- Duration of Stay: Each visit to Indonesia under the MEBV is limited to a maximum of 60 days.
- Sponsorship: The MEBV must be sponsored by a properly constituted Indonesian legal entity, such as a company, representative office, or other legally registered organization.
- Eligibility: Most foreign nationals are eligible for the MEBV, with some exceptions for citizens of certain restricted countries, including Afghanistan, Guinea, Israel, North Korea, Liberia, Nigeria, Somalia, and Uzbekistan.
